Inexact Information Systems and its Application to Approximate Reasoning
نویسنده
چکیده
The inexact information system is based on linguistic terms which have values lying in the interval [0; 1]. Imprecision has advantages, because fuzzy sets avoid the rigidity of conventional mathematical reasoning and computer programming. Fuzzy quanti ers are made explicit by means of fuzzy logic. Many systems, for example, complex biological processes, cannot be programmed in a precise way. With fuzzy sets the implicit quanti ers can be easily translated into machine usable form. This paper discusses a method for the description of fuzzy quanti ers in formal languages. A comparison between approximate reasoning and the method of linear interpolation is made. Inexact information in biological and medical expert systems, and the reliability inferences based on it, are also discussed.

A fuzzy reasoning method based on compensating operation and its application to fuzzy systems
In this paper, we present a new fuzzy reasoning method based on the compensating fuzzy reasoning (CFR). Its basicidea is to obtain a new fuzzy reasoning result by moving and deforming the consequent fuzzy set on the basis of themoving, deformation, and moving-deformation operations between the antecedent fuzzy set and observation information.Experimental results on real-world data sets show tha...
متن کاملPROPERTY ANALYSIS OF TRIPLE IMPLICATION METHOD FOR APPROXIMATE REASONING ON ATANASSOVS INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY SETS
Firstly, two kinds of natural distances between intuitionistic fuzzy sets are generated by the classical natural distance between fuzzy sets under a unified framework of residual intuitionistic implication operators. Secondly, the continuity and approximation property of a method for solving intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning are defined. It is proved that the triple implication method for intuitio...
متن کاملImproving Agent Performance for Multi-Resource Negotiation Using Learning Automata and Case-Based Reasoning
In electronic commerce markets, agents often should acquire multiple resources to fulfil a high-level task. In order to attain such resources they need to compete with each other. In multi-agent environments, in which competition is involved, negotiation would be an interaction between agents in order to reach an agreement on resource allocation and to be coordinated with each other. In recent ...
متن کاملRate Analysis of Inexact Dual First Order Methods: Application to Distributed Mpc for Network Systems
In this paper we propose and analyze two dual methods based on inexact gradient information and averaging that generate approximate primal solutions for smooth convex optimization problems. The complicating constraints are moved into the cost using the Lagrange multipliers. The dual problem is solved by inexact first order methods based on approximate gradients and we prove sublinear rate of co...
متن کاملUniversal Approximation of Interval-valued Fuzzy Systems Based on Interval-valued Implications
It is firstly proved that the multi-input-single-output (MISO) fuzzy systems based on interval-valued $R$- and $S$-implications can approximate any continuous function defined on a compact set to arbitrary accuracy. A formula to compute the lower upper bounds on the number of interval-valued fuzzy sets needed to achieve a pre-specified approximation accuracy for an arbitrary multivariate con...
